ASR Thai-Boxing and Personal Training

Beginner Class

This class is a fun basic introduction to ASR Thai-Boxing where students learn how to kick, punch and use their knees and elbows, in addition to learning how to hold pads and work with partners. Through simple but effective 2-4 strike combinations, during 2-3 minute rounds, new students are introduced to our formula of consistency, pad work, combinations, tempo and most importantly safety. Beginner classes are offered.

Our Muay Thai Boxing:

Muay Thai, translated into English as Thai Boxing, is the national sport of Thailand and is the hand-to-hand tactic used by the Thai army.

During the latter half of the 20th century, Muay Thai was exported to many countries and is now practiced by hundreds of thousands of people all over the world. Thai Boxing features punches, kicks, elbows, and knees to wear down and knock out an opponent. The training method develops devastating power, speed, and superb cardio-vascular endurance as well as fighting spirit. Muay Thai training is also quite safe thanks to sophisticated pad training that keep practitioners healthy. It has also proven very effective outside the ring and has been embraced enthusiastically by practitioners of a variety of self-defense, sporting, military and law enforcement activities.

If you like to punch and kick and want to learn to do it correctly while getting in one of the most intense workouts around, make sure you attend our Muay Thai classes.

And if you need one on one attention ASR can provide a program just for you

With Meal Planning, private classes, Cleanses and the most important and an exercise plan just for you. What are you waiting for?

I haven’t really exercised in a long time. Is kickboxing too intense for me to start with?

One of the great things about Muay Thai (if your doctor gives you the ok to start a regular exercise program) is that you start off at your own pace, gradually increasing the level of intensity as you get more fit.

Can I loose weight with the Cardio Kickboxing program?

Yes. Muscle and Fitness Magazine has rated Cardio Kickboxing as the top fat burning workout at an average of 1000 calories per hour.

Is there any contact in your Muay Thai classes?

Yes, there is contact in our regular Muay Thai classes. You learn all the basic skills and get in the best shape of your life, but you don’t have to participate in any sparring activity unless you choose to, just for fun.

Am I too old to start kickboxing?

No. We have students from a wide range of ages doing our Kickboxing/Muay Thai Program. If you are able to play a recreational sport, participate in a fitness class, go for a jog or a swim then you should be fine to start up kickboxing. Our free trial class will help you feel comfortable and will give you a chance to gauge this for yourself. You’re only as old as you feel, give yourself a chance to feel as young as you can.

I’m not in the best shape. Can I still take a Kickboxing Class?

Of course! Our classes are designed so that beginners can set their own individual pace, and progressively increase their own level of intensity. Our Instructors are there to guide and motivate you, but ultimately, the intensity level of your workout is in your hands.
